A book by B. J. Coombs
the third resurrection
the fourth resurrection
into the universe
When I was a small boy I read a very old hat science fiction story in a magazine called the “SCOUT.” It was the official magazine of the Scout movement started by Lord Baden Powell. I was enthralled. Ever since that time I have ruminated about universal travel.
The chapter/s below are the result of my ruminations: they are writings that I would have loved to have read many years ago, but they had not been written – so! I am writing them as much for myself as for any other readers.
Let’s start at the end of the last chapter where fire came down from God out of Heaven and destroyed the earth and the Heavens. At this time, the resurrected Israelites the innumerable seed of Abraham in their physical immortal bodies are caught away out of this earth and journey into a far country (the stars) and start to populate the universes. All of this has been covered in previous chapters.
So the next great major event in God’s timetable is:-
Revelation 21:1 “And I saw a new Heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven (airy heavens as previous chapter) and the first earth are passed away and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men (those raised with spiritual bodies both male and female in the first resurrection), and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”
This New Jerusalem was amplified in chapter 5, you can refresh your memory about it in Revelation 21:16 and on.
So these Saints/chosen ones will be domiciled in their own individual glorious mansions in this great new city whilst their travels as God’s emissaries/governors take them as Kings and Priests to the furthest reaches of the universes and beyond.
Revelation 1:6 “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be the glory and dominion for ever and ever.
Now the Kings were/will be absolute Monarchs (a sole and absolute ruler of their subjects and all their lands and possessions – The Priests were/will be in total command under GOD Jesus of the laws/judgements of both the peoples AND the Kings.
There are so many scriptures in the old testament to verify this statement that I should not need to give you proof except to say, that here, we are dealing with Heavenly Kings and Heavenly Priests, who are not just Monarchs of small earthly Kingdoms or Priests of limited peoples and Kings – but Kings of multi multi nebulas and galaxies with countless zillions of inhabitants. Priests of unimaginable powers to judge and decide disputes among the King’s subjects over and above even the King.
Here is an example of the King’s power back here on this old early earth.
1 Kings 3:23 “Then said the King, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living. 24 And the King said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. 25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.... 28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.”
If you do not know the outcome read verses 26 – 28.
An example of the Priest’s power back here on this old early earth.
Exodus 32:28 “And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell (killed) of the people that day about three thousand men.
If you want to know why read chapter 32.
Now the early Prophets used a less barbaric form of overpowering their enemies. As will the Kings and Priests of the future.
2 Kings 6:15 “And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?... 18 And when they (the enemy hosts) came against him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And He smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.”
Read all of chapter 6 where Elisha tells the King what to do with all these thousands of prisoners who had been blinded (the horses could see where to go but the men could not).
In the New Testament Paul and the other apostles had the power to give sight to the blind – But at least Paul also had the power to ask the Lord to take away a person’s sight.
The Acts 13:8 “But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9 Then Paul filled with the Holy Ghost set his eyes upon him saying... 11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.”
If the early Prophets and Christians in their mortal bodies had this power – Then so will the ruling Saints/Kings/Priests in their glorified immortal bodies – both during the millennium and the “Dispensation of the fullnes of times.”
Isaiah 2:4 “And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people... nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”
I mean! What would be the good of learning war and making great weapons of mass destruction if a single Immortal Saint could come along and temporarily blind all the warring factions?
I have digressed slightly from my original theme for this chapter of “The third resurrection” so I will now get back to it.
Just to reiterate for a moment – The second coming of our Lord for His Saints and their Pets has occurred – the third resurrection – that of the Israelites has occurred – now the fourth and subsequent resurrections.
This subject of the Great White Throne was dealt with quite extensively in chapter 3 it would be helpful if you go back and reread.
On to the period of time after the Great White throne judgement called the “Dispensation of the fullness of Times” in the K.J.V. This same period of time is called “...the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages” is amplified quite extensively in chapter 4, so carry on from 3 to 4.
Then onto chapter 6 which amplifies the following verses:-
1 Corinthians 15:24 “After that comes the end (the completion), when He delivers over the kingdom to God the Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every [other] rule and every authority and power. 25 For Christ must be King and reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy to subdued and abolished is death.”
So! Here we are, at the beginning of eternity where our Glorious Father God and Jesus God with the Holy Spirit start their perfect plan of eternal creations.
IN THE NEXT CHAPTER
Go on to Part 4, Chapter 4.
