Animals In Print
The On-Line Newsletter

From Animals in Print 12 February 2001 Issue:

THE BIBLE DOESN'T SUPPORT ANIMAL ABUSE
E-MAIL FROM PERSON THAT USES RELIGION TO JUSTIFY THEIR MISTREATMENT AND SUFFERING OF ANIMALS

It appears that you people believe that the life of an animal is just as sacred as the life of a human. That is disrespectful towards God. God created the animals for man. Man has dominion over the animals. Our use of animals is our God given right. You have the right to believe what you will, but you are wrong. Blood sports, Sacrifice, Animal consumption, and the working of animals for mans profit are all our God given rights. You do What you want with your animals and I'll do what I want with mine. Good day.

Frank's ANSWER:

God always points us to seek the more perfect way of life.

Have you not read that in Eden there was no death and that both humans and non-humans ate only plant foods? Have you not read that Isaiah paints such a picture in 11:6-9? Does not Jesus spell out a better way of life in the Beatitudes? Does He not teach us to pray for heaven on earth? Do we not know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no death in heaven? Does not Paul write about the whole of creation anxiously waiting for the revealing of the sons of God to remove its suffering (Romans 8:18-25)?

Why do you have such a strong desire to hang on to the imperfect?

In the Love of the Lord,
Frank
