YouTube- Donkey Basketball Game- Vicksburg Michigan
Please Write and Protest!
Please take the time to forward and post to AR groups/lists:
Recently Vicksburg High School in Michigan held a donkey basketball game.
Below is a link to an educational video showing photos of donkeys used for the school's fundraising project. It may have been fun and games for those who wanted the money and for those who chose to participate in the "game". But does it appear this was really fun and humane for the donkeys?
Double click on the video button to view now.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=O2Pg4WO9ByUBoth Peta and In defense of Animals sent out an alert to their members, prior to the basketball game, to ask that letters be sent to the principle and superintendent of Vicksburg high school to stop this "fundraiser" and use alternative and compassionate ways to raise money.
According to the principle, there was no parent who contacted him asking the school to stop this. <which is not true; as being a concerned parent of a Vicksburg high school student, I personally contacted and talked with him and I know of parents and grandparents who contacted him as well>.
The "event" was done to raise money for Vicksburg High School's ''project graduation''.
Below is a link to view photos taken of the "fundraiser"- comments are welcome and encouraged, please! You have to be registered to leave a comment which takes only a moment to do so, a little moment of your time but can help support the donkeys in the future.
The photos in the picture video were taken from only the donkey basketball game- at Vicksburg High School in Michigan. Thank you for your time and consideration. After viewing the video, please contact the principle and superintendent to encourage that the school stop future fundraisers using animals.
Quote from a Vicksburg high school student:
"It is stupid, anyone with a brain can tell they (donkeys) do not want to be doing this."
