From 29 Oct 2009 Issue

National Primate Liberation Week 2009 was a Tremendous Success!!!!

I wanted to let you know that National Primate Liberation Week 2009, an event which is coordinated by Stop Animal Exploitation NOW! with crucial help from grassroots activists across the U.S. was a rousing success. Protests, vigils and news conferences took place in over 20 cities nationwide. We obtained substantial news coverage in publications like the Chronicle of Higher Education, USA Today, and in many other news sources. Our efforts were covered by radio, television and print media. Some of the news coverage is listed below.

Activists from California to Boston and Atlanta to Seattle came out to fight for the rights of non-human primates, expose abuses, and work to end this exploitation.

I want to thank each and every one of you for everything you do for animals, because even though you may not have been out on the picket lines or at the news conferences for this event, your work for the animals is vital and is truly appreciated. If we are to make a better future for the animals many people have to work on many different issues, and we all contribute as best we can. I pass this news on to you so that you know the battle for animals is taking place on many fronts. Don't ever feel isolated or alone. People are working every day to end the exploitation of animals.

Our fight to end the exploitation of animals is not over, but National Primate Liberation Week brought the truth to millions of people!

Thank you,

Michael A. Budkie, A.H.T.,
Executive Director, SAEN.
