TAKE ACTION: Save The Polar Bears

Polar bears are drowning in their search for sea ice. Walruses by the thousands are abandoning retreating sea ice for land and risking fatal stampedes. And nesting colonies of rare sea birds like ivory gulls are plummeting.

But you can help. I just took action online to urge my senators to pass important legislation to curb greenhouse gas emissions and help wildlife cope in a warming world.

Please ask your senators to help in this effort -- just follow this link: http://action.defenders.org/senatewarming to send your message.

Thanks,
Peter MacQueen III, President
The Humane Society of Eastern NC
Southport, NC 28461.
