Warning: Hartz Flea Spray Kills Kitten
- Protect your kittens -
Last night a fellow in Michigan sprayed his 7 week old kitten, Pepper, with some Hartz flea spray. There was no warning on the box against spraying on these babies. He immediately took the kitten into the Flint Animal ER and ultimately Pepper went to the Bridge at 5:30 am. The attending vet called Hartz and has filed a complaint. On the insert (inside the box) there is a warning at the very end and in small print about not using the spray on these babies.
This is not the first time Hartz products have killed these little guys.
The clinic is in the process of sending the exact name of the product to us now. We are asking EVERYONE to crosspost about this terrible accident in hopes of preventing it occurring again and also to learn of people who have had bad experiences also.
Please cross post to all lists and have them send their responses to me directly.
