Greyhound Demonstration in London - September 3rd

Action Alert - Stop the Export of Australian Greyhounds to Asia

When:  Tuesday, September 3, 2002 , 12 noon

Where:  Outside the Australia House, Australian High Commission, London,  Strand, WC2B 4LA (located on the corner of the Aldwych and the Strand)

Greyhound Action International was established to protect greyhounds worldwide from  the inherent cruelty in greyhound racing, and to ultimately abolish greyhound racing.  Recently, greyhound racing has been introduced to Korea, exporting the dogs from Australia with plans to create breeding facilities. This will no doubt boost the dog meat industry in Korea. Greyhound racing is already underway in Vietnam, Macau and China, with future plans to expand to Cambodia and the Philippines, all countries known for dog consumption.  The ultimate fate of these dogs is the same as in Korea.
