Jillouise, with Kira (left), and Wroclaw (right), two of her rescued companions

A third-generation born and raised New Yorker, Jillouise runs a companion animal care business and writes the "What Jill Knows" column in Animals in Print. With over 20 years experience in helping companion animals live happier lives, feral animal humane trapping, rehabilitation and adoptions, companion animal behavioral problem resolution is her specialty.

When Jill is not out helping animals (i.e., taking in lost and abandoned companion animals, trapping feral cats or having animals spayed/neutered), you will find her working with and socializing pit bull terriers or working with other "special" critters that have been seriously abused/neglected.
