own she wisely brought them to their new foster mom. Tiny and Na are as sweet as
they are beautiful. A video of them taken not 24 hours after there arrival may

FREDDY: Maine Coon male - very affectionate and loving! A BIG BOY!!!

TIGER CUTIES: One male and two females! Super affectionate and ready to conquer
your heart!

LOCO & PEEK-A-BOO: These cats are spayed females, about 4 years old. They have
been together since babies and live indoors most of the time. "Loco" is the
slimmer of the two and more friendly and independent. She likes to go out once
it's dark to "hunt" or just explore. She will also be the first to come and sit
by you or try to sneak onto your bed. The sister was named "Peek" or
"Peek-a-boo" when she was small and sort of hung back where it was safe to study
people and peek around corners at them. She is more skittish of the two, but
does warm up once used to you. They are litter trained but use the outdoors when
there. They are tigers, as you can see. Loco has more brown, gold and white,
with white socks on her feet. Peek is more gray and her stripes are less
pronounced. They love playing and sleeping together and are two very
affectionate sisters who would very much like to stay together. Peek is the one
on the right in both pictures. I have enjoyed them since I rescued them from a
rather large cat community beneath the deck of a mobile home, but I have since
found that I am allergic to their dander. I want them placed with someone who
will love and take good care of them. For more information on these sweeties,
please email their foster mom at
mapofcolumbia@aol.com or by phone at (518) 392-9598.

BARNEY: This little pup was saved 11/21/11 from a life being spent outside on a
short chain. He is a happy, calm, splendid fellow, approximately 2-3 years of
age, who ignores cats and gets on well with other dogs.
Here is a video taken
within half an hour of his arrival in his new foster home: Country
dwellers interested in adopting this fine fellow will need to have a fenced yard
in addition to delighting in taking Barney on many interesting leash excursions.
He does fine in a car.
If you are interested in learning more about him, please call his foster mom Julia at (646) 429-8882. (Please DO NOT EMAIL ANIMALKIND as Barney's foster mom is personally handling his placement). Potential adopters must provide a veterinary reference and be prepared for a home visit. His fosters are requesting an adoption donation of $250 to help with the costs associated with caring for all their rescued animals.

Princess and Baby are two year old Dachshund sisters. They were relinquished by
their original humans December 2, 2011. Here is
video of
them shortly after arriving in foster care, To learn more about possibly
adopting these girls please do not contact NYPeticare or Animalkind but call
their foster mom Julia who is handling their placement. She may be reached at
(646) 429-8882.

MADDIE: She is an incredibly loving and beautiful sable coated 2 year old
who has been waiting for her forever humans for a very long time. She
is wonderful with cats and other dogs. Here is a
recent video of her
at home (10/11). This
video shows
her after a
long absence from the Thompkins Square Dog Run last winter. And
here she is
in the snow upstate last winter.
Maddie first came into foster care at 6 months old. The family that
had had her since she was a baby had no time for her once she became a
grown dog and threatened to take her to the kill shelter. She was
wonderful in foster care. Her first placement was with liars. They had
promised to give her lots of love and exercise and instead tied her up
outside their house upstate rather than taking her on the wonderful
country romps she was promised. We took her back.
Her next "permanent" home was full of love and hours of fun spent in a New York City dog run where she quickly became a favorite. She was returned to us yet again after only 2 months with her humans in tears because the landlord had changed his mind about letting them have her.
Maddie is a wonderful city and country companion. She is patiently waiting to
get off the roller coaster which has been her life. To find out more and
see if this might be the dog you've been waiting for who is waiting
for you please call her devoted foster mom Julia at (646) 429-8882.

JEFFEY: Recently diagnosed with Diabetes, the vet says he requires prescription
food and we are advised diabetes IS manageable, even possibly treatable. He is a
6 year old black and white long haired male cat. VERY friendly, and currently
gets along with his best friend (a dog). He takes a little time to warm up to
other cats (which is not unusual). Jeffey is a big boy, weighs 20 lbs (his body
structure is quite large, making him a “big boy”) He is excellent with children.
His foster mom is looking for a home for him, with someone that can afford his
needs. Please contact Robin at 518 986 4756 and leave a message. We will request
references, just to make sure he will be going to good home, as he is our
“baby.”
