BABE:  Babe was an injured stray neighborhood (not feral) kitten a kind person took to the vet.  He has fully recovered and has  been neutered and vaccinated.  He is so very sweet with people (a real lap cat) and dogs, but does NOT get along with the other 4 cats in the household. He has them terrified! This is not fair to the other cats, so we are looking for a one-cat home for this otherwise sweetie-pie.  Please contact Judi email judig1@frontiernet.net or call 845-758-8453 for more information on BABE

LILLY:  Snowshoe Siamese mix, approx. 9 months old.  Rescued from an overpopulated farm.  This beauty is shy and will require a quiet home (no small children) with the patience to wait for her to bloom.  Lilly loves other cats and will do best in a multi-cat home.  She will be ready for adoption in July.  LILLY is one of Bev's fosters

LUNA & STELLA: Two fun loving tiger girls approx. 6 weeks.  Their feral mom gave birth in a trap the night before she was scheduled to be spayed.  Mom tested positive for FIV and there's a 50/50 chance the kittens will have it.  Both kittens should be adopted together.  FIV cats can live a long, healthy and happy life.  Stella and Luna will be ready for adoption mid July.  These kitties are two of Bev's fosters

TIGGER:  Extremely affectionate tiger boy approx. 8 weeks.  Pulled from a NYC kill shelter where his life would have ended at just 3 weeks old.  Bottle fed (and still enjoying it!), he is very greatful to all people and loves to follow you everywhere.  Will be ready for adoption in July.  TIGGER is one of Bev's fosters

BOOGIE:  Silly energetic boy approx. 8 weeks.  Pulled from a NYC kill shelter where his life would have ended at just 3 weeks old.  He is very grateful to be alive.  Tested, vaccinated and ready to dance into your life.  BOOGIE is one of Bev's fosters

DUMPLING:  Sweet loving girl approx. 8 weeks.  Rescued from an overpopulated farm. Mom is a Siamese mix.  Dumpling has blue/green eyes and very soft fur.  She has been tested, vaccinated and is ready for adoption.  DUMPLING is one of Bev's fosters

ISIS:  This pretty tabby girl saw her kitten safely adopted and now is waiting for her turn at finding the purfect home!  She has been spayed and vaccinated

LILLY: Super sweeeeeet! Little Lilly can't wait to meet you!! Lilly is one of Sue's fosters. (Please mention that when inquiring).

TY: This guy is an affectionate 6-month old puppy, neutered shortly after this photo. The poor puppy spent the past four months living in a crate and only taken out once a day for a short walk around the block. Remarkably, he shows no emotional or behavioral scars and is happy and grateful to be in foster care, getting the love, attention, exercise and training which all dogs deserve. Please call his foster mom Julia at 646-429-8882 with questions or to schedule a time to meet him. http://www.JuliaNicholsPrem.com

BARBARA's TORTI KITTEN: Little Tortoiseshell  female - can't wait to meet you!

FRANKIE:  This kittie was found in the woods behind our house, starving and sick. He let me pick him up right away, purring and rubbing against my chin.  When I took him to the vet, he weighed four pounds, even though he was about seven months old, as his growth was stunted from malnourishment and dehydration.  He tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.

He's gained about two pounds and is now healthy and ready to find a good and loving home. He is incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle and play, and chirps and follows you around when you talk to him.  He will make someone a really wonderful companion. LUCY: Lucy is a Mainecoon mix.  Born blind, she needs the special care of a kind human, although she has fully adapted to her condition.  She is a very sweet kitty and loves to cuddle, enjoying the warmth of a human companion. Please give this special kitty a loving home she deserves. http://www.innertapestry.org/columns/a-breath-of-healing.html

BUFORD:  Buford is a 5 year old, 17lb, terrier mix.  He was found abandoned in a basement. He is a charming little fellow with a typical terrier attitude (he wants to push around other dogs and be head of the pack!).  He wisely choses not to push around any cats. He is extremely affectionate and cuddly and luckily doesn't hog the bed.

Buford's blood work shows that his hair loss was caused by a tumor on his pituitary gland which is one form of a condition called "Cushings Syndrome".  Once we have stablized him on his oral medication, he will need a pill only once per week for life.  He will also need to have a blood test twice a year to make sure his medication dose is still correct.  We seem to have caught it early since the only symptom he has is the hair loss and this medical condition can be managed successfully for many many years.  Once his coat has grown fully back he will be truly adorable.

If you meet the little guy you'll fall madly in love with him, so please give serious thought to whether or not you want to commit to his special needs.  The medication itself will be inexpensive but he will need to have his blood checked twice a year to make sure his dose of medication is correct. Please contact: Julia 646-429-8882 for more information on BUFORD
