Beast lives up to his name and is aggressive with other cats but very bonded and loving to his sister.  It is uncertain how they would do with dogs.  For more information on Beauty and Beast email Cooperative.Fostercare.Net@gmail.com or call 518-398-0364.  Please include your phone number on email correspondence.

He was found begging for food outside of a popular restaurant where they would not feed him because they "didn't want him to stay" He was rescued by a kindly lady.  However, upon taking him to the vet, it was discovered that he is FIV+. He needs to be an only cat or placed with other cats that are also FIV+. He can live a normal and healthy life, and we think he deserves that from the rough start he's had. It is clear he had a home at one point because he was already neutered and is a very friendly boy. For more information on Garfield, please email Cooperative.Fostercare.Net@gmail.com or call 518-398-0364.  Please include your phone number on email correspondence.

Animalkind cat adoption Flurry
FLURRY:  This guy is a very attractive male Maine Coon long-hair mix with white and black  distinct markings that look like eyebrows on his forehead. Flurry is approximately 8 months old and was rescued from a farm with too many along with his brother Furio also listed on this site. He's a tad shy with strangers and noisy situations so would probably do best in a quiet adult home.  He does enjoy attention from people and especially likes a warm lap to sit in. He is fostered in a home with older kids, other cats and dogs.  For more information on Flurry, please email Cooperative.Fostercare.Net@gmail.com or call 518-398-0364.  Please include your phone number on email correspondence.

KIARA: This is Kiara, named after a Lion King character, the young female cub in Lion King 2. She is about 12 years old and is very much alive and kicking. We got her when she was a kitten. Her previous owners called her "Spook" because she's easily frightened, but also very gentle. She likes to cuddle up with you as you sleep and sit on your lap. She also really loves tuna. A family member has developed allergies, and even allergy shots have not fixed the situation. Please call Danyel at 917 325 4377 or email danyelfulton@hotmail.com for more information on this lovely cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Dirk
DIRK: Dirk is a male tiger and white approximately 1 year old. He just wandered into someone's home in the Newburgh, NY, area during this winter's arctic blast and demanded attention.  No owner could be located.  He is a big boy and very sweet, quiet and calm. He appears to get along with other cats and would do best in an indoor/outdoor situation. For more info on Dirk, please contact Cooperative.Fostercare.net@gmail.com or call 518-398-0364. Please include your phone number on email correspondence.

Animalkind cat adoption Maxwell
MAXWELL: This royal black male (with a tiny white "bib") is approximately 1 1/2 years old. He was picked up as a stray, begging to get inside someone's home when we had that bitter cold weather. No one has come forward to claim him, so he's looking for his forever home. He is a big boy with a small white patch on his chest. He's very sweet and loving, but likes to give little love nips when excited.  He seems unfazed by other cats and dogs. Since he was found outside, it is believed he would do best as an indoor/outdoor cat to work off some of his energy. He has been recently neutered, vaccinated and tested. For more info on Maxwell, please contact Cooperative.Fostercare.net@gmail.com or call 518-398-0364. Please include your phone number on email correspondence.

Animalkind cat adoption Lovie
LOVIE:  Female grey Tiger short-hair, approximately 8 months old.  She was rescued from an overpopulated farm on the day one of her colony mates was fatally hit by a car. Lovie seemed to know what happened and begged to be taken away from the harsh outdoor life and given a chance for a safe loving home.  Lovie is exactly what her name suggests...super sweet, affectionate and very playful. She will purr at the sight of people.  However, Lovie occasionally likes to give love nips and play a bit rough, and so is probably not suitable for a home with very small children. Lovie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready for adoption. For more info on Lovie, please contact Cooperative.Fostercare.net@gmail.com or call 518-398-0364. Please include your phone number on email correspondence.

For more info on Percy, please contact Cooperative.Fostercare.net@gmail.com or call 518-398-0364. Please include your phone number on email correspondence.

Animalkind cat adoption Bella
BELLA: This 2-3 year-old Calico female is very Sweet and Loving.  She loves being with her human and relaxing. She's an indoor cat and is looking for a new home where she can still be a princess. Although she is not good with other animals, she is great with kids. ***No need to buy her any toys -- hair ties entertain her for hours.***  Please contact Shari at email shari@fingarinsurance.com for more information on this beautiful cat.

Animalkind black cat adoption Caruso
CARUSO: This low-key honey is named for his distinctive warble. He's long and sleek, a silky black and movie matinee idol! So handsome! Caruso is affectionate and can be held once he knows you. He was fostered as a kitten with his mother Lily and siblings Grace, Easter and Sprite (some of which are on this site). This easy-going and sweet cat gets along well with other cats. He is about seven years old and has always been healthy, with a gleaming clean coat and glowing green eyes. Neutered and recently vaccinated, he would be a sweet match for a family with gentle or older children. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this lovely cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Grace
GRACE: This breathtakingly angelic white cat has a gray widow’s peak over her glowing yellow-green eyes. When she was a kitten, a vet took Gracie in her arms, and gazing down on her, suggested that a face and nature this beautiful are proof there is a god. She arrived at her foster mom's barn as a tiny kitten with her siblings and mother. She would like nothing better than to spend her life in someone’s loving lap. She is sensitive and would do best in a household with loving adults and older children, if any, and other pets who are also gentle. Gracie has enjoyed robust good health her whole life. She is about seven years old and spayed. and only needs her rabies shot updated. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this sweet cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Sabrina
SABRINA: SABRINA came to her foster mom at the age of 13 from Faith Connelly of Tri-State Pet Partners. Sabrina is a beautiful big-hearted tabby whose owner was going to put her down because she had been diagnosed as becoming diabetic. Sabrina, who's about 17, has flourished since then. She is very affectionate, self-confident, and holds her own with other cats.
Cuddling Sabrina is better than cuddling a warm, purring teddy bear, and Sabrina is never happier than when she's in your arms or over your shoulder. Sabrina will lick the tip of your nose when she is happy with you. She would do best with a family with older children who could give her the attention she adores. She is spayed, healthy, and recently vaccinated. She has been on two and one-half units of insulin twice a day for a long time and seems quite stable at that dose. She gets her blood glucose checked every six months or so, and is in very good health. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this lovely cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Sylvie
SYLVIE: This is as sweet as any cat who has ever lived. She began life as "Sylvester" underneath a trailer park in Catskill, NY, and came to her foster mom with a litter of kittens and with another mother with a litter of kittens. The kittens were nursing from both mothers and all the cats - mothers and babies, had distemper. - Sylvie was the only survivor. Sylvie is a big, beautiful black and white sweetie-pie with green eyes and a pink nose. Although she was rail-thin when she arrived, Sylvie is now more than ample in size, but her sweetness is even greater. Sylvie lacks only one thing: a “mean gene.” She is incapable of harming any other cat or any human, and I would even trust her with a newborn. She is quite communicative, entertaining, fast on her feet, and very affectionate. Now about eight years old, she is healthy and recently vaccinated. All Sylvie needs is a loving home. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this sweet cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Senyor
SENYOR: SENYOR was trapped at the Stewart’s on the Hudson side of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Senyor is a handsome black and white neutered male with large paws. He was affectionately named "Senyor Puss Puss" for the formality his feral state imposes on his relationship with humans. Senyor moves laterally, in keeping with the permanent tilt of his head, which appears to be the result of past neural damage. (He’s been checked out by two vets, who agreed he does not seem to have an ear issue or to be in any pain). Senyor is responsive to his name and gets along well with other cats. Although he will hang out quite close with the other cats if he knows you, he is feral and cannot be picked up. His age is unknown but he is healthy and recently vaccinated. All Senyor needs is a safe place to live his life in peace, preferably with his mate PENELOPE (also on this site). Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this sweet cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Alice
ALICE: This fleet-of-foot Calico was trapped at the Stewart’s on the Hudson side of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge four and a half years ago. Alice has made a transformation worthy of her literary namesake (who also stepped through a looking glass from one world to another). At first, Alice was non-responsive in her new world and remained apart, even from the other feral cats with whom she’d been feeding herself at the Stewart’s dumpster. Since arriving in foster care, she has come out of her shell in the most amazing way and now actively seeks attention and petting, although a bit shy at first. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, and she gets along well with other cats. She's in good health, spayed and recently vaccinated. She would thrive with a loving, patient owner who could appreciate her brave, affectionate spirit and what she has overcome to be herself today. Alice continues to emerge from her shell and melt the hearts of anyone lucky enough to know her. She would do best in a mature household, with or without other cats, and needs only love. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this lovely cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Easter
EASTER: (full name EASTER MAGDALENA). She arrived in her foster mom's barn as a kitten with her three siblings and mother Lily. Easter is a sweet, slender black and brown tabby with a charming face. She was the runt of her litter and has always been very shy, which, cats being what they are — helps Easter to get along with all the other cats. Easter needs to be caught to be loved, but once in your arms, she purrs like mad. With love and a little time, Easter will rise to her full, sweetest potential. She is perfectly healthy, spayed, very pretty, and recently vaccinated. Easter needs a loving human heart and a quiet place to call her own. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this lovely cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Lily
LILY: This beautiful lovebug is mostly Siamese, so she is very smart and fleet on her feet. She is all white, except for a gray widow’s peak that accentuates her striking blue eyes. Lily appeared one summer with her four kittens in her foster mom's barn, and they have been here since. Lily lives for affection and will take up residence in your lap. She is sensitive and incredibly sweet. Lily would do best in a household as the only pet or with a few other easygoing cats, possibly some of her own offspring (Caruso, Sprite, Easter and Grace, on this site, are also beautiful and affectionate, but all are more reserved than Lily. Lily is about eight years old, healthy, spayed and recently vaccinated. All Lily needs
is LOVE. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this sweet cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Penelope
PENELOPE: This girl was trapped four and a half years ago with her kittens, whom she was feeding out of the dumpster at the Stewart's on Rte 9G, just before the Rip van Winkle Bridge. Penelope is very shy and very sweet, and she needs a human who is patient enough to appreciate her bravery, and her longing for affection, when she finally jumps up on the master bed uttering her distinctive warble (as rare and lovely as the nightingale’s cry at midnight... ) Penelope gets along fine with other cats (but she is very very fond of Seymor (also on this but would come even further out of her small gray shell in an environment where she’d get more attention. Penelope is spayed, healthy, with a slight sometimes runny eye that doesn’t seem to bother her. (She has seen a vet). Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this sweet cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Janey
JANEY: (also known as LADY JANE GRAY or MOMMA, pictured here enjoying one of her favorite pasttimes. She appeared, stick-thin, in her foster mom's barn one summer with her two kittens in tow. Janey, who’s probably about 9 or 10, is the survivor of a remarkable story: although she was spayed shortly after arriving, unknown to us, Janey was still carrying two (dead) babies. Several years later, she was having difficulty voiding and was taken to the vet. The cause was the two masses still in her system. The vet said she’d never seen anything like it, and was able to remove one in an operation. A year or so later, another vet, who specializes in surgery successfully, removed the other mass in a three-hour operation he had never performed. Janey has now gained enough weight that she appears to have an Elizabethan ruff around her beautiful gray face, and she has always been healthy. She is quite affectionate, but can be volatile and is not suited to a household with young children. Janey needs a caretaker who can appreciate how her early life outside shaped her sensitive personality now. She would do best in an indoor-outdoor situation on a farm, and needs only love, a warm spot in the sun, and more food! Easter needs a loving human heart and a quiet place to call her own. Please contact: ellenliburt@gmail.com for more information on this lovely cat.

Animalkind cat adoption Miles
MILES: Young male medium-size Tabby. Extraordinarily handsome and incredibly loving Miles is about 2 years old. He and his cat family (Zelda and Goldie also on this site) were abandoned when their humans moved. Animalkind cat adoption Harvey
HARVEY: This good-looking fellow is Harvey, a male grey and white approximately 1-2 years old. He was found as a stray, already neutered and clearly owned by someone at some point. For more information on Harvey, please contact Cooperative.Fostercare.Net@gmail.com

Animalkind cat adoption Missy
MISSY: Missy is a spayed female, about 3 years old. The Mountain Top cat rescue brought her to me because they had no room for her and she had to be taken away from her owner who was very elderly and could no longer take care of her. She has been living outside, but was always a house cat, and it was so sad to leave her outside on her own. She is very sweet and affectionate with people, but does not get along with other cats, so she should go to a one cat home. For more information on sweet Missy, please contact her foster mom Maggie at (518) 239-4200.

Animalkind dog adoption Paris Hilton
HILTON and PARIS (BONDED PAIR): Small adult female Chihuahuas. These adorable 5 year old sisters are casualties of a divorce. Mom split and dad says the kids won't take care of them. Animalkind cat adoption Boots
BOOTS: We have seen a stray/feral cat (we've named Boots) who appears to be young, wandering around the yard the last three months. He tried to be friendly, but wouldn't come close. He would meow back at me if I talked to him though. He's finally getting up the nerve to stay around when we go outside. He takes excellent care of himself which lends me to think he's abandoned, not feral, since our feral cats look like hell! He's constantly cleaning his paws and face and his fur is nice and shiny. It would be wonderful if he found a home before the cold weather. Boots has been visiting with our neighbors and he seems to get along with their little girl (3) and their cat.More on my blog. If you have room for a barn kitty who shows great potential for becoming a good friend, this is your cat! Please mention that Boots is one of "Kristin's fosters" when inquiring.

CALI: Young female Dilute Calico short-hair. Cali is a gentle and affectionate, lithe, long and lovely two year-old who was on the list of cats to be euthanized at a city animal shelter at the end of June. (Please do not contact Animalkind about this pet). Julia's adoptions require a home visit, vet reference, and an adoption fee to help offset the cost of caring for her many fosters, as well as the perfect match between two and four-footed.

MACHITO the MAGNIFICANT: Young Tuxedo male who will make a superior addition to any home. I live with a lot of cats and this one year-old boy knocked my socks of with his bravery, affection, and joyous, outgoing, nature. He was scheduled to be euthanized at the overflowing NYC shelter Thanksgiving week. I had no idea I was saving such a gem! WILLOW and SOCKS: Willow (top) is a grey female and her Tuxedo (bottom) is her brother Socks. They are very playful and dog and cat friendly. The two were kicked outside when they got fleas. However thanks to a helpful neighbor, they are now safe and sound (and flea-free) enjoying their foster house until they find their forever home. These two are about seven months old, recently fixed and tested, all ready to go. For more information on either or both, please email jessicaquinn@optimum.net

Animalkind cat adopt Donna Fern
DONNA and FERN: Fern and Donna are three-year-old sisters who seek a new home. They are playful and curious, sweet and affectionate -- as eager to chase a crumpled bit of paper around the room as they are to snuggle with you. Since they've had loving owners their whole lives, these girls are gentle and trusting. They've also been together since birth and would prefer to stay together. Fern and Donna are spayed and up to date with their vaccinations. I am sad to say goodbye to these sweet kitties but am moving to a place where no pets allowed. For more information on these sweet cats, please email Emily at emilyliebert@gmail.com (especially, but not necessarily, if you are in the Connecticut area)

Animalkind cat adopt Flower

FLOWER: This Tortoiseshell female, born approximately August 2012, is still hand shy. Although she will let you pet her on the head when she is in her cage, she is very nervous. Flower has been in foster care for awhile now and she is still leery of her foster mom. This is because she likely had a traumatic kittenhood where an older gentleman was practicing "population control with a shovel"! She was fast enough to get away from him, but became mistrusting of humans. For more information on this sweetie, please email foster mom Jess at jessicaquinn@optimum.net

Animalkind cat adopt Zachary
ZACHARY: This lovely 1-2 year old boy was scheduled to be euthanized at the NYC Animal Care and Control facility. A woman desperately wanted to save his life and asked that we get "pull" him from the facility for her. From the start, it was not a match made in heaven. The woman had two other quiet older cats and Otis was driving her crazy with his exuberance and need for attention and affection. A major purrer! He is the perfect cat for an active home. He's great with children, dogs and other felines. If after, watching Zachary's video, you think this might be just what your family needs to be complete, please call his foster mom Julia at 518-249-4588. (Please do not contact Animalkind about this cat.) Julia's adoptions require a home visit, vet reference, and an adoption fee to help offset the cost of caring for her many fosters. LOSING THEIR HOME: These are cats from an 80 year old woman that is suffering from dementia and will soon have to be placed in a nursing home. She used to be very active in cat rescue up until her recent diagnosis, so we would love to place her cats in good homes to relieve her worry about them. Exact ages of these are not known; they range from 5 years and older.

The first one (upper left) is Diana, she is an orange/grey calico, she is shy. Next is Igor (upper right), a big, beautiful tiger cat with a lazy eye. He's a little shy. Amelia, black and white (middle row left), is about 8 years old and a real lap cat who will want to get up in your face. She's "a tad" overweight. Destiny, black Tuxedo, (middle row right) is super friendly and has extra toes, sits on her back feet and waves her paws in the air. Mr. Bo Jangles (bottom) is a very large black formerly-outside cat. He loves to eat, and as a consequence, is "a tad" overweight. For more information on these sweeties, please do not contact Animalkind but email Jess at jessicaquinn@optimum.net
