Albany interview March 31, 2013, regarding the "25 to stay alive" fund drive
to rebuild our shelter
We’re
starting to rebuild our shelter – which was recently destroyed in a fire –
but we need your help. We are determined to come back stronger than ever so
we can save more homeless cats and kittens than ever. And we’re rebuilding
with the highest shelter standards to maximize health and minimize stress
for the cats in our care:
- We’re designing smaller rooms to house smaller cat communities
- We’re using high-tech impermeable materials for hygiene
- We’re building a fully operational surgical suite and infirmary to provide
immediate care to the sick and injured…and perform spay/neuter on site
Meeting the highest health standards costs money. We’re facing very hard times, and the economic slump has put a huge strain on our funding. Donations and grants – our major source of income – are well below what we need to operate. We are in desperate need of financial support from all of our supporters to continue our good work.
We’re rebuilding our shelter as a welcoming place for kitties and people alike. That’s so we can rescue more strays and make more happy adoptions into loving homes. In this economy, more cats and kittens need our help than ever. We need your support to help those who suffer but cannot speak: the elderly cats left behind after an eviction…the motherless kittens too sick to walk…the injured cats dragging themselves through the alleys…the homeless cats freezing in the winter snow….
Please donate to our GIMME SHELTER Rebuilding Drive! Any amount will help and is greatly appreciated! If you can, please consider buying a cage, wall, or even a room in our new space.
Keep Animalkind's "thermometer" rising !!
