From Sal and Dorothy - 14 Dec 2006
Our son, Sal Jr., happened to be here this evening and read your newsletter. His eyes welled up and he asked, "Mom, isn't that where you found little 'Flag'?" We talked about the wonderful work you do, and he wanted to help. Hence, he left a check for you.
We brought little "Flag" home 2 and 1/2 years ago. He was only 4 1/2 weeks old! We have a total of four cats of which "Flag" is the baby. We can't really call them cats, but they aren't human. They simply defy definition. We believe that each little being has the very same potential, given the opportunity. We will always be grateful for Flag, and the part you played in bringing us together.
Our children are all middle aged with children of their own. Little "Flag" is each one's greeter at the door with hugs and kisses. As they leave, he sees each one to the door and looks out the window as they wave to him.
He's a friend, a joy, a clown, a blessing and a miracle. Our Flag!
From our hearts,
Sal and Dorothy

Animalkind Inc.is a not-for-profit welfare, protection, rescue, rights organization dedicated to the compassionate care and humane population control of abandoned, feral and stray cats in Hudson, New York (Columbia County) and the surrounding area. We promote non-lethal prevention of an unwanted litter or litters of kittens through trap, spay, neuter, release (return), (tnr, TNR). An altered cat or kitten is released into a managed colony. Felines living in such colonies are assured kind daily care. Adoption to homes providing love and care for cats and kittens is encouraged. We also provide low or no cost spaying and neutering assistance to low income pet owners and help increase public awareness and education through the media, special events, and publications to promote compassion, respect, and kindness towards all animals.
