From Ellen Falls - 27 March 2007
I thought it was time for a three-week adoption update.
Sissi is gradually overcoming her fears of the apartment. Her locus is still the dining room window ledge and a comfy bed in the room she has concocted from some pillows and a quilt. She loves the view of the busy street we live on with vehicles and pedestrians very frequent. The neighbor's yard below the window is full of lots of birds and the neighbor's bouncy lab named Buddy. I hope this will be a good home for her.
I see good progress; a few days ago, she started jumping up and prancing around for her breakfast snack of canned Science Diet. I think she will gradually overcome her shyness; she needs her time. At least she doesn't bite me, like Sweetie Pie did! Her homesickness is much reduced this week. She loved you very much for taking care of her and giving her so many friends to hang out with.

Animalkind Inc.is a not-for-profit welfare, protection, rescue, rights organization dedicated to the compassionate care and humane population control of abandoned, feral and stray cats in Hudson, New York (Columbia County) and the surrounding area. We promote non-lethal prevention of an unwanted litter or litters of kittens through trap, spay, neuter, release (return), (tnr, TNR). An altered cat or kitten is released into a managed colony. Felines living in such colonies are assured kind daily care. Adoption to homes providing love and care for cats and kittens is encouraged. We also provide low or no cost spaying and neutering assistance to low income pet owners and help increase public awareness and education through the media, special events, and publications to promote compassion, respect, and kindness towards all animals.
