Rescue Actions - What We Do Every Day

Animalkind, Inc

Kinderhook, NY: 20 feral and semi-feral homeless cats, as well as 7 indoor cats, left without care

Animalkind was contacted regarding a situation where close to 30 cats needed sudden rescue due to unfortunate circumstances suffered by their guardians. Upon arrival, Animalkind gathered the indoor cats and after a vet check, got the kitties to Animalkind, waiting for a second chance.

The outdoor cats were feral and consequently, not adoptable. We needed responsible farm/barn situations to relocate those felines after testing, vaccination and altering.

Thus far, we have trapped 18 and have only 3-4 more to go. Some have already found a new home; others still waiting. Please, if you have a warm place for some good mousers, contact us today!

UPDATE 22 April 2011:

Our efforts to relocate 24 feral cats are continuing.

Eight have been accepted at a beautiful sanctuary with other rescues and will enjoy happy feral cat lives after all.

Seven remain with us. We are in desperate need for responsible outdoor/indoor situations.

In addition, we also need donations to afford all the vet bills associated with this rescue.

Please consider a donation to Animalkind! We are still trying to raise the money to pay the vet bills for these cats. Donate today and help us to continue to help the homeless felines.
