Nikita (Sunshine)

Dear Friends at Animalkind:

Just wanted to let you know how our kitten, formerly Sunshine, now Nikita, is doing. As I write he is curled in my lap, purring for all he's worth. I am convinced he's double in size since we adopted him a week and a half ago. He is a wild man, into everything, and plays with his toys as well as anything else in his reach.

He had no problem at all with the dog. He chases her tail and ears and tries to curl up with her. The dog doesn't quite know what to make of it but she puts up.

He has had his first visit to the vet and except for a little intestinal parasite is in great shape. The vet said his crooked front leg was a healed broken "wrist" bone and that it requires no further treatment unless we wanted it to be straight. As his crooked little leg is what brought us to your shelter, we would never consider putting him through "cosmetic surgery."

Thanks to all of you for adopting Nikita into our family. If we are ever down your way we will certainly drop in to visit!
