Oscar and Emily
Oscar was a feral cat from NYC who was half blind, limping from a car accident and has a tilted head from a former ear tumor. He was shy of people and lived in our adoption center as the king of the crowd.
Emily was a cruelty case and very afraid of humans, when she stayed with us she was always hiding. THAN, the Hallenbeck family came by and adopted them both! (To enlarge the photo of Oscar and Emily, click on the photo or link)
They have a BIG heart for the most unfortunate and Oscar and Emily went to their loving home together. NOW look at them! They sleep in their beds and love to be loved!
Thanks to compassion two suffering souls found a piece of heaven here on earth!
From Rosa and Bruce Hallenbeck - 25

Animalkind Inc.is a not-for-profit welfare, protection, rescue, rights organization dedicated to the compassionate care and humane population control of abandoned, feral and stray cats in Hudson, New York (Columbia County) and the surrounding area. We promote non-lethal prevention of an unwanted litter or litters of kittens through trap, spay, neuter, release (return), (tnr, TNR). An altered cat or kitten is released into a managed colony. Felines living in such colonies are assured kind daily care. Adoption to homes providing love and care for cats and kittens is encouraged. We also provide low or no cost spaying and neutering assistance to low income pet owners and help increase public awareness and education through the media, special events, and publications to promote compassion, respect, and kindness towards all animals (d-44).
