Following the sad death earlier this year of KeKe, a 39-year-old elephant at the Dallas Zoo, zoo managers have announced that her lone surviving elephant companion, Jenny, will be sent to Africam Safari, a drive-through tourist attraction in Mexico. But local decision-makers in Dallas could choose to send her to an elephant sanctuary right here in the U.S. instead. Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute is strongly opposed to shipping Jenny abroad.
