Protect Coastal Habitat from Oil Drilling

Call your senators and ask them to VOTE YES on S.3663 the Clean Energy Jobs and Oil Company Accountability Act that will protect coastal wildlife.

INFORMATION / TALKING POINTS

Here are the provisions of S. 3663:

  • This bill will update oil spill response and accountability and reduce oil consumption and will increase energy independence by promoting electric vehicles.
  • It will also create clean energy jobs and consumer savings by funding HOME STAR, which will provide rebates for residential energy efficiency upgrades.
  • Finally, it will protect the environment by funding the Land and Water Conservation Fund and will fund the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund.
