INFORMATION / TALKING POINTS
Fashion Week may have just ended in New York City, but PETA's latest campaign is just heating up.
We were disappointed to see several designers, including Donna Karan, using fur in their collections. Just over a year ago, Karan had publicly announced that she had "no plans" to use fur in the future.
The state of the fur industry today is just as gruesome as it was when we were last in touch with her. Foxes, minks, coyotes, and rabbits—and even dogs and cats—are bludgeoned, genitally electrocuted, and often skinned alive for their pelts on fur farms around the world.
It's easy to get a killer look without killing anyone. Because of the cruelty in the fur industry, designers such as Stella McCartney, Marc Bouwer, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Liz Claiborne have all chosen to create wonderful work without using animal fur.
Thank you for everything you do for animals!
