Thank the Judge for Jail Time in Dog Burning Case
Please send letters through ALDF's website or by mail thanking Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway for doing an excellent job in evaluating the past histories of two defendants found guilty of setting a young pit bull on fire after a failed attempt at hanging her to death.

Case #10-012065-01 - Kristian Dennard Jackson
On December 1, 2010 Kristian Dennard Jackson & Decarlos Lashawn Young pled guilty to animal killing/torturing and arson of real property. Both defendants were habitual third offenders and they pled to that as well. Young is to serve 17 months to 8 years, and Jackson is to serve 13 months to 8 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections. They are currently scheduled to be formally sentenced on December 16, 2010 at 9 a.m. Local residents who wish to support the prosecution by attending should contact the Court as dates and times are subject to change.
Thank you to everyone who wrote letters, made phone calls and attended the court proceedings! Attorneys in the case noted the large amount of mail, email and phone calls received from supporters around the world and also noted that a number of ALDF supporters attended court proceedings.
