She had been beaten with a golf club and had bleach sprayed in her face and eyes and left tied to suffer for days. Mr. Gonzales currently has a restraining order filed against him for domestic violence.
Please consider sending a letter to the Bakersfield Police Department asking for thorough investigation of this crime and to the Kern County District Attorney's office for rigorous prosecution as felony animal abuse. This crime and other acts of violence against animals must be taken seriously by law enforcement. Kern County Animal Control has secured a rescue home for rehabilitation for Lacey once she has been released from veterinary care and Friends of the Kern County Animal Shelters Foundation has graciously stepped in to accept donations. Friends will be happy to collect funds for care of Lacey, stated FKCASF President Judi Daunell. Thank you for everything you do for animals! |
