Peter Slavin, M.D. INFORMATION / TALKING POINTS In 2009, many of you joined us in calling on Massachusetts
General Hospital (MGH) to end its cruel sheep lab. Sadly,
despite our past pleas, the institution still uses these animals
as training models instead of cruelty-free alternatives like
human body simulators. As a result, sheep used in MGH’s ATLS
courses continue to endure invasive procedures before being
killed, and are also made to suffer the stresses of transport,
confinement and surgery preparation. If you’ve ever visited Farm Sanctuary’s shelters, you know
firsthand that sheep are friendly, social animals who don’t
deserve to be subjected to such cruelty. Please help us keep the
pressure on by contacting MGH President Dr. Peter Slavin, and
letting him know that we will continue advocating for an end to
live animal use in medical training until it stops for good. Thank you for everything you do for animals! |
