INFORMATION / TALKING POINTS

Offshore oil and gas operations must be completely re-vamped and strong protections for sea turtles mandated in new oil and gas lease regulations in the aftermath of the BP oil spill.

Sea Turtle Restoration Project recently testified at a public hearing before federal regulators to demand that sea turtles are given priority in oil spill prevention, response and recovery plans for oil and gas leases in the Gulf of Mexico.
