Urge Prosecutor to Charge UW-Madison Sheep Killers
[Ed. Note: It is NOT necessary to use animals in training courses, cosmetic/product testing and medical experimentation. Visit our directory of articles: Alternatives to Animal Testing.]
We need to speak up for the sheep who suffered and died at the university before it's too late! Please contact prosecutor David Geier and politely urge him to bring charges against those responsible for breaking the law before the statute of limitations runs out.

INFORMATION / TALKING POINTS
For decades, animal experimenters at the University of Wisconsin–Madison have conducted excruciatingly painful U.S. Navy–funded decompression experiments on sheep. In the experiments, sheep were forced to endure crippling joint pain, seizures, nausea, paralysis, vomiting, and burning, deep chest pain. Many of the animals tormented in this barbaric experiment were killed by decompression, in violation of a Wisconsin cruelty-to-animals law that prohibits the killing of animals in this way.
Last year, in response to a petition filed by PETA and Madison-based Alliance for Animals, a circuit court judge determined that it was reasonable to conclude that nine individuals at the university had violated state law by their involvement in the deaths of animals during this experiment. The judge appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the matter and to bring charges where appropriate.
Thank you for everything you do for animals!
