A two-day campaign resulted in a VICTORY for chimps. Please thank this company for their compassionate choice to NOT use great apes in future ads! Take a minute and thank Great Clips for making this compassionate decision and setting an example for other corporations.

INFORMATION / TALKING POINTS
You did it! Just two days ago we sent out an action alert and Take Action Tuesday post regarding a Great Clips ad that featured a chimpanzee, Billy. Because of your letters, Great Clips made this statement on their Facebook page yesterday:
After hearing your feedback, we’d like to provide the following update from Great Clips’ CEO, Rhoda Olsen:
We were not aware of the controversy associated with chimpanzees in advertising. We will, as so many other companies have, not use great apes in future ads. We are also working with our media buying partners to discontinue the use of this ad. We always appreciate our customers and employees feedback. Thank you.
This victory could not have happened without your support. Thank you for speaking up for Billy and for all apes in need! Keep up the great work - forward this announcement to a friend and ask them to sign up for our Take Action list so they too can be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Thank you for everything you do for animals!
