I came upon your site and agree with a lot of your opinions. I myself run breed rescue for German shepherd dogs and have eighteen as we speak. But I understand your look on dog sledding these days.

We no longer need it with cars and trains to move us around. But there was a time when dog sledding was necessary. When we need to get food or medicine from town to town. True those dogs probably weren't treated all that well either but they were necessary.

Thank you though its a great site that is very informative.

Dear Taeler:

Thank you very much for writing.

You bring up a very good point about how we should change with the times. Since we no longer need dog sleds for transportation, we shouldn't continue the practice because we know it causes the dog's to suffer.

Similarly, we have clothing that is warmer than fur, and no longer need to kill animals for their fur, and in almost every part of the earth there are plant foods available, so that we no longer need to kill animals for food.

Keep up the good work you are doing for the German shepherds.

In the Love of the Lord,
