Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Emily Long - 13 Apr 2005
I am horrified by these pictures. I did not even know there were duck farms that force feed their animals. I am a proud owner of 5 muscovy ducks who are highly pampered by their loving owners. I raised 3 of them from babies, this website was very heart wrenching to me because I know each duck has its own personality and sense of being. What government agency should I contact in order to complain about this abuse of waterfowl? I commend your efforts against this propaganda.

Thank you very much for you concern and desire to help, and for telling us about your ducks.
New York is the only state that produces foie gras in the US that doesn't have any laws to prevent forced feeding of birds. California, the other state, has recently past a law but it doesn't become effective until 2012. Israel just totally banned forced feeding. So, public action does work. We would suggest that you tell as many people as you can about this atrocity and encourage them to join you in writing letters to your elected officials and to the newspapers.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
