Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Miriam Fischer - 8 Aug 2005
I just bought a home in Ferndale, NY and was horrified to learn about the duck farm where ducks are hurt to produce foie gras.
Is there anything I can do to help put a stop to it?
Reply from Frank and Mary
California, the only other state in the US where foie gras is produced will end it's operations in 2012. NY keeps rejecting such legislation. Another large producing country, Israel, ended all operations earlier this year.
The way these closures came about is through exposing the truth about these atrocities to as many people as possible until public pressure forces an end to force feeding. We need to do a better job in NY.
Please speak to as many people as you can and write letters the paper and elected officials, and ask other people to do the same. You can also refer them to our web site so that they can see for themselves.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
