Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Ewan Brown - 27 Aug 2005
I think another reason why people (and i) dislike the torture of dogs is because we know them as in pets. compared do in Korea they also know them as meat products. though again a dog is the same as any other animal for meat, suffers pain and emotion and fear. when i was younger (a kid) i didn't really know much about cows but since in the past year or two I've felt like more aware of every other animal that is used for meat thought I've never eaten meat. that dog shooting in Iraq. its horrible. i almost cried when it yelped and died. but isn't that warfare? These kind of things happen in war don't they? not just animals but human as well. What could i do to help? I mean part from don't do this and that anything to do with for example a butchers shop ?. is semi skimmed milk ok?

Thank you very much for your comments.
We don't believe wars really solve anything, but this shooting of the dog is outside the scope of combat, and in our opinion is no different that deliberately killing an unarmed civilian. Cows suffer greatly, too, so all products we get from cows contributes to their suffering.
In the Love of the Lord,
