From Barb - 3 Jan 2004 The anger I am feeling at this moment after viewing the urine lines is indescribable. How can anyone allow this to happen. My Dr. prescribed premarine for me for a number of years and after hearing the plight of these magnificent animals, I refused to take the hormone. The synthetic worked as well. I really think if all women could view these conditions and were made aware of the inhumane treatment of these mares, very few or perhaps none would take premarine. I have three daughters and believe it is very important that we pass on this information to the next generations, friends and interested parties. I have had horses all my life, and believe they deserve to be cared for in a loving, humane way. Your pictures brought me to tears. I hope something happens real soon to stop this practice. Thank you for all your good work. I know the horses would say thanks if they could. Barb Reply by Frank L. Hoffman Dear Barb: Thank you very much for your letter of compassion and encouragement. Just as you have said, it's important to pass these truths along to the next generation, and many of our visitors are young people. We each play a role in bringing these atrocities to an end. We can tell as many other people as we can about these horrors, and ask them to help spread the word, too. By referring them to our web site, they can see for themselves, just as you did. In the Love of the Lord, Frank Return to Visitors' Comments |
