Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Beth Enge - 28 May 2003
To whom it may concern:
This is very wrong for the Koreans to do this! I do not agree at all with this violence that they portray on the dogs. We treat our cows better than they do their dogs! I am appalled by this and I am putting a stop to this nonsense. I have sent a chain letter to many of my friends trying to let people know that this is going on and if they feel the same way as me. I want to end this now! This is animal cruelty. This is not right.
Those dog markets and people who skin the dogs should be sued or put to a stop or should be arrested. This is a major offense and is troubling me greatly. I am a animal lover and this should be put to rest. I hope you do the same! This needs to stop! I can't imagine that these people don't feel bad for killing man's best friend. How would they like to be tortured just because you taste better if you are beaten? I think you wouldn't. So why do they do this to dogs? I want to march right over there and beat up everyone of those Koreans. Help me with starting a chain letter for this horrible thing. Thank you for your time.

Thank you very much for your letter and comments, and desire to help stop cruelty to animals.
Your idea of notifying other people about these atrocities is the best way to do so. In stead of a chain letter, we would suggest that you simply ask others to send copies to as many people as they know, too. It also important to suggest what you would like them to do in response, and you can refer them to our web site to see these atrocities for themselves.
It's also important to know that it's not all Koreans, nor is this practice limited to Korea. Also, any act of violence only promote more violence. Our response must be peaceful and non-violent. These dog and cat killing people also say that they are not doing anything worse that what is done on factory farms to chickens, pigs, cows, etc., so part of our effort to stop these practices in Korea and other places, must be to clean up our own act.
We look forward to hearing from you again.
