Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Scot Grill - 5 Feb 2004
I was simply browsing the web when I came upon your site by accident. I was looking through your picture gallery and was moved very deeply by a picture of a dog with his front legs tied behind his back and a tin can for a muzzle. The dog was looking directly at the camera and you could see his plea for help in his eyes. Now, you must know about me that I rarely cry or even show much emotion. I consider myself, for lack of a better phrase, "a man's man." But when I saw this particular picture, I was moved to tears.
I have never felt more anger and rage in my life than when I saw this. I can say, without a doubt, that that image is now forever burnt into my memory. I am literally sickened by the mere thought of it.
Please, give me any information that would give my an idea of what to do. I have very little money and am still in high school but I'm probably going to college to be a pilot and willing to work. Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much for your letter and expressions of compassion.
Many years ago we were also deeply touched by photos of atrocities committed upon animals, and we resolved not to support these "industries" through our purchases of food, clothing, etc. that were made from animals or animal products. We also began telling as many other people as we could about the horrible animal cruelty that is going on, unchecked, all over the world.
This is something you can also do, and it doesn't cost any money. It only requires some of your time.
Animal cruelty, like so many other evils in this world, is checked by public opinion. The more people we make aware of these atrocities, as you were, the more public pressure will be brought to bear to end the cruelty. Tell others! Ask them to help, too! You can also refer them to our web site so that they can see for themselves.
I've been a pilot for many years, and wish you the best in your chosen career.
We look forward to hearing from you again.
