Institutionalized Animal Cruelty – Fishing: Sleepy Hollow Lake
We have come to realize that recreational fishing is unfortunately a form of socially acceptable institutionalized animal cruelty; for fish feel pain, panic, and suffer just as we humans do. See:

In order for any person to take pleasure in causing another living being to suffer or die, we believe that it requires that person to first harden their heart and soul to the extent that he or she no longer has empathy for the feelings and rights of that being, and according to psychological definitions, such a person is a sadistic sociopath.
And we are not immune to this sociopathic behavior here at Sleepy Hollow Lake, where we live in upstate New York; for the Association of Property Owners of Sleepy Hollow Lake has planned a bass tournament for 29 June 2013, including a fishing tournament for kids, which we consider to be a form of child abuse.
How do I know this?
I was taught by my own father to fish and, even worse, to enjoy it; but thanks to the grace of God, I changed from my evil ways and, along with Mary, we have for the past three decades dedicated our lives to ending the suffering and exploitation of all animals, including humans, and the environment in which we all live.
