Berkshire Vegan Brunch, April 21, 2012
Berkshire Vegan Bunch
Saturday, April 21st
With Cheri Ezell-Vandersluis, Co-Founder of Maple Farm Sanctuary
The FEED part of the event is a Vegan Brunch. Everyone is asked to bring a
dish to share that will feed 10 people and your own place setting. If you
need ideas, remember – fruits, green or pasta salads, and rice dishes can
all be simple and vegan. Or, bring juice.
Coffee and assorted teas will be provided. If you still need help, give us a
call.
The SEED part comes from a presentation by Cheri Ezell-Vandersluis,
co-founder of Maple Farm Sanctuary in Mendon, MA. Cheri was a goat
milk farmer when she met her husband Jim, a dairy farmer. He joined her in
running the dairy goat herd, but the constant birthing and selling of babies
needed to keep the milk flowing brought a change to their hearts. Now they
devote their time to rescuing farm animals and educating the public about
the intended lives of these sentient creatures.
