The John Murphy Collection

The Ark (CSCAW) has recently been honoured by the generous donation of a collection of animal welfare/rights books which will now form a lending library.  The books belonged to the late John Murphy, a young man deeply concerned about animal rights, and have been generously donated by his mother, Mrs Elizabeth Murphy.  They comprise approximately 175 books and cover various topics, the greatest proportion covering vivisection and medical research subjects.  Students studying medicine or researching animal psychology may find these of particular interest.  All Ark members are welcome to make use of this service, for which we thank Mrs Elizabeth Murphy who made it possible.

To request a book for mailing to an address in the UK or Europe, please send a cheque for £15 (£10 deposit to be returned on receipt of book after loan, and £5 to cover postage and packing - any difference in costs will be refunded) to the above address.  US borrowers’ rates on application.  Make out all cheques to CSCAW.
