In Memory Of Shadow
Fran Gillespie donated $100.00 to CCA-USA's Veterinary Charity Fund, in memory of Shadow. Shadow was the beloved pet of the parochial vicar of our parish, Father John McFadden. Shadow had been having health issues off and on for maybe the last year or so. Sadly, last night he succumbed to the cancer and all the other things that were ravaging his body. He was 12 years old and one handsome German Shepherd! He was Father McFadden's constant companion, watchdog, body guard, and, I might say, best friend. You rarely saw one without the other. Shadow frequently was mentioned in Father's sermons, and he was known to poke his head through the curtains in the sanctuary when he was looking for his "Dad" and thinking that Mass was going on maybe a little bit long. :-)
Shadow will be greatly missed by his many friends. Although we are sad that he left us, I know that we can be grateful for the time these two very special friends had together. Both of them are gifts from God.
