266, Wayne, NJ 07474 THIS MOST READABLE autobiography -- or rather biography of the many pets
in the life of this US Ark member -- is illustrated by many photographs,
including pictures you will have seen in previous Arks. In her own words,
Suzi describes her book as 'a primer of animal rights and, in one book, I
have covered as many topics as I was aware of or involved with'. From being fairly clueless when presented with a rescued 'ball of fluff',
the miniature Sheltie puppy called Peaches, Suzi soon began to cope with her
charge, and learned from her the ways of God's creatures. Eventually
providing a loving home to several dogs and dozens of unwanted cats, Suzi
tells their stories with humour, compassion and obvious affection. Her
growing commitment to helping the causes of animals in distress and
suffering through human inhumanity is traced, and she includes many
anecdotes and stories of people you may have come across, such as Vickie
Moore, Rev. J.R. Hyland, and Mother Cecilia Mary in Canada. Review by Deborah Jones |
