Jan Haagensen, who has been dealing with trespassing hunters in PA, sent the following email after discovering that hunters are now required to have written permission to hunt on private property in Ohio whether it is posted or not!

Here is a rare piece of good news concerning trespass law, as it now exists in the state of OHIO. I LOVE IT—landowner WRITTEN permission is now REQUIRED to be carried by hunters, regardless of whether the property is posted OR NOT. A FIRST OFFENSE (if they are caught on private land without written permission to be there) is punishable by 60 days IN JAIL, and by a $500.00 fine!

Of course the totally corrupt PA Legislature has put nothing into effect that is this strong. But I’ll take progress wherever I can find it. I now have to waste my time by posting my PA property, which means replacing my previous signs, almost all of which were destroyed by local fatheads.
