IT IS RUMORED THAT SHE IS A DEER HUNTER, BOW AND
ARROWS PREFERRED
FAWN
sat in the front row and had her hand up much of the time. She offered
suggestions about how to increase hunting. It's clear why she would
want to: FAWN TANTILLO'S HUSBAND OWNS SUNSET SPORTING GOODS. Fawn
is not a regular person: She is an Ulster County legislator and she
is running for the NYS Assembly! (Fawn Tantillo feels the camera
on her. Photo by Anne Muller)
It's important to hear what her comments were at the meeting.
We will be placing ads in the papers to let folks know more about
her:
While most moms are trying to keep firearms out of schools, Fawn
is trying to get them in. She supports youth hunting. To
add insult to injury, she wants free youth hunts to make it easy
for kids to get started. Fawn also wants kids to be encouraged to
start with rabbits and squirrels. She suggested that the DEC
let kids kill small animals without having to pay for a permit.
If you don't like the idea of having firearms classes in school,
the promotion of hunting in schools, encouraging the killing of animals
in schools, then be sure to write to the Governor and your legislators
to let them know that you don't want firearms classes taught in schools.
See www.wildwatch.org click on "letters" and make the appropriate
selections.
If you think the promotion of firearms in schools is an idea
that's not going anyplace, think again. The following is a summary
of an item in the minutes of the NYS Conservation Fund Advisory Board:
Bill Connors, NYSCC (Conservation Council - a good ole boys hunting
club) Region 3 Director, said that he wanted all in attendance to
get involved in promoting sportsman educational programs in local
high schools. Everyone present was aware of the program running in
the Pine Bush High School. The program is listed as a credit course
and is the most popular elective course in the school. They want
this to spread throughout the state!
Call Pine Bush High School and let them know that it's unacceptable.
