Angelina called us to ask what she could do to report a
“crime.” She told us that she had been watching a little bear cub who lived
near her home. She and her mother had enjoyed watching the little cub grow
up. The bears didn’t mind her car as she watched them for long periods of
time.
The day after “bow season” started, the mother wasn’t there,
and Angelina felt that “something” had happened. Then she didn’t see the
cub who had become a precious part of her world. On the way to the store
that morning, her heart jumped when she saw him—stretched into a rug outside
a neighbor’s shed. Yes, it was a crime we told her -- but it is legal.
