We received the package of material that was sent to many AR groups
regarding “gut shooting” of deer in PA.
An individual was accused in the letter of practicing gut shooting to
prevent crop damage on a dairy farm. Gut shooting is when deer are shot in
the stomach and not a vital organ. They die in agony over a period of
days. It is done so the bodies don’t have to be reported or dealt with.
The deer run off the property and die elsewhere or in a hidden area.
We can only suggest that the person who sent this will come forward as
an eye-witness, or get video footage of the perpetrators. It will be very
difficult to have charges brought without proof. We wish we could be of
more help, but it will take cooperation from the person reporting. The
sender sent statutes that s/he felt applied in this case. If there are
