are three New Jersey organizations trying feverishly to stop the killing
of NJ bears.
Please contact them and visit their sites to learn how to become
involved in stopping this outrage. At least 54 bears were killed during
the last bear killing season. “You have to have conservation” said one of
the killers.
In the Integrated Black Bear Management Strategy Report for NJ, the NJ
Wildlife Habitat Council (comprised of hunters) set objectives for the
black bear population. The first and foremost is: “Preserve a robust black
bear population as part of New Jersey’s natural resource base.”
Do you see a pattern of increasing populations to have hunters bring
them down?
