Wildlife Watch fields hundreds of calls, and occasionally
someone sends us e-mail and photos such as those below. What sad photographs
come our way! Our purpose in sharing these is to awaken an awareness of the
individual suffering of wild animals.
Imagine a wildlife agency whose mission it is to actually
HELP wildlife in trouble. We hope for the day when injuries such as this one
will be treated by government agencies at wildlife hospitals. That is what
wildlife management should be.

Hello Anne,
I hope all is well with you. I am happy to report that my
precious injured doe
(A.K.A Mamma Alli ) is holding her own. I am keeping an eye on her and she
doesn’t seem to be getting any worse . Thank God. She is now traveling with
the rest of the herd sometimes and I have even seen her rear up and stick up
for herself ! I don’t think she will ever regain use of her injured foot but
she appears to be adjusting very well. I’m very happy to report! I am
sending you a couple pictures of her as I promised.
Take care, Anne, and thank you again for all of your
help. Keep up the good work. All the precious creatures appreciate it and so
do people like me.
Best regards,
Susie F.
