Issues of Special Interest CASH Counters Hunting Promotion The following ad was placed by CASH in "Shorelines", a Massachusetts newspaper, to counter the ad by The Safari Club ▬●▬● ●▬ ●●● ●●●● Right, sure, Massachusetts is in danger of being taken over by alligators. This absurd claim is being made by a sport-hunting organization. Hello? We’re really in danger of armed individuals lurking about in the woods, near our homes and families. Certain species, such as deer and turkeys, are manipulated by government wildlife management agencies. They intentionally produce overpopulations in order to satisfy a small minority of wildlife killers. Sadly, game agencies turn the wildlife that belongs to you and me into living targets for people who enjoy killing. They do that to collect excise taxes on firearms and ammunition, and bows and arrows. They also collect permit fees. Management of wildlife for hunting leads to wildlife abuse. Children are encouraged to use firearms; citizens have to deal with overpopulations of geese and deer – all to profit from the killing of animals.
