Hunter fatally shot after being mistaken for a deer

KLONDIKE, MD DECEMBER 14- A hunting accident near the
Allegany County, Garrett County line has left a local man dead. 23-year-old
Jeremy Ryan Robertson of Lonaconing was fatally shot when he was mistaken
for a deer by another hunter.
Robertson was hunting with three other men at a hunting
club in Klondike.
51-year-old Wilbur Gibbs, also of Lonaconing, shot at what
he thought was a deer and hit Robertson.
Robertson was declared dead at the scene. He was wearing a
black sweatshirt over his orange hunter's vest.
