Safe Hunting?

Hunter Almost Shot in Head

16 December 2003

The increase in hunters made for a close call for a Marion County hunter.

Shawn Gerdom came within inches of being shot in the head this weekend.

While standing by his truck Gerdom heard a shot whiz by, he then bent over to pick up his cigarettes and a bullet went through his hat knocking it to the ground. Gerdon says gun safety classes should be mandatory for everyone, currently only those born after 1967 are required to take the class.
