Cause Of Florence Man's Death Not Released

The body of a local man was found Sunday hanging in a tree 40 feet above the ground.

A hunter found the body of John Hughes, 24, of Florence, in the Mullins Wildlife Management Area in southern Kenton County, WLWT Eyewitness News 5 reported.

The hunter who found Hughes' body called police and then led officers to the tree, which was about 3/4 of a mile off the road.

Hughes appeared to be bow hunting in a tree stand before his death.

Investigators did not say how Hughes died, WLWT reported.
