On Saturday at 4:45 p.m., the Shoshone County Sheriff’s
Office was contacted about a fatal hunting accident in the Avery
area.
Shoshone County Sheriff Chuck Reynalds, Captain John
Koziuk, Cpl. Darrell Braaten and US Forest Service Law Enforcement
Officer Chuck Silvas, responded to an area near Roundtop Mountain
on Road #217.
They located the body of Steven Wayne Seppal, 43, of
Ponderay, ID, near the road. He was transported to the Kellogg Funeral
Home where an autopsy will be scheduled for early next week.
The death is still under investigation and no other
details are available at this time.
