A family hunting trip ended with one of the hunter's sons being shot.

James Card, 26, of Gouverneur, N.Y., was taken to a hospital in serious condition after being shot in the arm Sunday. He was with his father, Richard Card, 51, and a group of family and friends hunting near Hermon.

The district attorney's office is investigating who fired the shot that injured James Card.
