MAN SHOT WHILE RABBIT HUNTING

A MAN has been flown to a Sydney hospital after being shot while rabbit
hunting in the NSW central west.
The 32-year-old Frenchs Forest man was rabbit shooting with friends
on a property near Bathurst when a ricocheted bullet hit him in the
abdomen about 2am (AEDT) today, a statement from the CareFlight helicopter
said today.
He was taken to Bathurst hospital for initial treatment and was transferred
to Royal North Shore Hospital by helicopter this afternoon under full
intensive care monitoring.
He arrived about 1pm (AEDT).
