AVERY -- A Post Falls hunter is in fair condition at a northern Idaho
hospital today after being accidentally shot while deer hunting.
Thirty-eight year-old Bruce Jensen was shot in the buttock while hunting
in the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River near Avery on Sunday.
Police say Jensen was dressed in camouflaged clothing and standing on
a ridge when he was shot by 57-year-old David Eugene Spicer of Caldwell.
Spicer was booked into Shoshone County Jail on Sunday on a charge of aggravated
assault.
Shoshone County Sheriff Chuck Reynolds alleges Spicer also committed several
Idaho State Fish and Game violations, including firing from a roadway and
firing a rifle into a designated muzzle-loader area.
